Recap on 12/18 Bella Protocol x Binance TR AMA with Co-Founder Yemu Xu
On December 18th, Bella Protocol’s Co-Founder, Yemu Xu, conducted an AMA session in the Binance TR community on Telegram. Yemu answered the most popular questions that the community had for the past few weeks and gave a high-level overview of the latest product roadmaps. Could you please introduce yourself and Bella Protocol? Tell us a bit about the story of how you and the team founded it. Is there a story behind the name, BELLA?
My name is Yemu, cofounder and CGO at Bella Protocol. Bella Protocol was incubated by ARPA team and was officially launched in 2020. Our team has been DeFi trailblazers since 2019, supporting liquidity in various DEXs and lending protocols.
In the current DeFi world, users suffer from major pain points, including high gas fees, poor user experience, difficulty hopping between smart contracts, etc. On the other hand, they deserve risk-adjusted high yield from reliable products and protocols.
Aimed at solving these pain points, we decided to provide users with a suite of easy-to-use DeFi products. We named it Bella, meaning “beautiful”, in French and Italian. We want our product to be elegant and easy to use by design.
Bella automates everything possible, subsidizes gas fees, and caters to both new and experienced users with great onboarding experience. The existing product lineups include Bella Liquidity Mining, Flex Savings, and Locker. We have many more exciting development and product lineups on their way, which I am going to elaborate on further soon.
Flex Savings is a decentralized yield farming pool live on Ethereum with over $31 million TVL, offering the highest APY in the industry, with 9%-12% for stablecoins, 23% for ARPA and 16% for Bitcoin. What drives BEL to enter the Turkish market with TRY trading pairs and further expand to the Turkish market? How do you comment about the importance of the fiat channels, especially the TRY channel?
It’s a very good question. Actually we have been expecting BEL/TRY for quite a while, almost the same time we planned for ARPA’s expansion in Turkey.
The reason here is quite simple. We believe in a freer and accessible-to-all financial system, no matter where the user is. Turkey has one of the most exciting and active crypto markets in the world. Young people are willing to trust a decentralized, transparent and innovative financial infrastructure. It is very important for us to have a regulated, reliable fiat on/off-ramp here. I have visited Turkey earlier and had a fantastic experience with our local supporters. I have been looking forward to collaborating more with our Turkish communities, and now is the time for it! $TRY on-ramp is another milestone for BEL. We are working really hard behind the scenes to further expand the use cases, adoption and accessibility of $BEL.

Could you please share the major year-to-date milestones with us? (Tech, operational, biz partnership, etc.) And how does the progress add value to BEL tokens?
Sure! Bringing $BEL to the Turkish community is one of the biggest! In addition to this meaningful move, there are several other exciting stuff I’d like to share with you all. Please allow me to start with Bella’s main product Flex Savings.
In February 2021, we launched Flex Savings V2, it has a number of features and security upgrades, including optimized portfolio strategies, gas expense saved up to 90%, auto reinvest & compounded return, higher return for staking vesting period, management fee as low as 0.25% flat fee only charged when withdraw, and a built-in token burn program.
Since launch, Flex Savings have been liked by users that contribute a TVL as high as $40 million. The current TVL is approximately $30 million. For the return rate that users might be keen to know, Bella Flex Savings keeps offering tier-1 highest APY.
We also improved the features and functionalities of the Liquidity Mining and Locker, to make sure we don’t sacrifice user experience for scalability.
On top of product iteration, Bella also made solid progress in tech development. Since mid this year when Uniswap launched its V3, Bella dev team has been working on providing toolings for backtesting liquidity-providing strategies with data analysis. Very recently, we launched this tool -Tuner. It’s a one of a kind product, we are confident to be seen as the BEST Uniswap simulator because of its perfect accuracy, strong efficiency, convenience and low cost. I’d also like to share the launch of our 20 million ecosystem fund. It’s an Ecosystem Fund dedicated mainly to DeFi, NFT, Web 3.0 and metaverse infrastructure.
So far, the Fund has invested in: My Neighbor Alice, Litentry, Kylin, Dora Factory, Dodo, INk Finance, Solv Protocol, Suterusu, MonoSwap, Chronicle, Maverick, Parami, CryptoArt, LunarCrush, Structure Finance, Mars Finance, Sypool, Corite, Raiinmaker.
Elsewhere, there are multiple partnerships being formed, across various verticals like crypto travel platform, payment network, NFT, insurance, DeFi of course. And Bella has done 3 rounds of quarterly token burn schemes, with the 4th round coming up very soon.
All these progresses do not just prove Bella team with strong dev capabilities, also they will facilitate user growth of Bella’s DeFi products, and actually strengthen the chance of $BEL to further expand use case into wide spectrum of partners’ ecosystems, as well as further show Bella Protocol’s vision on the bright future blockchain and crypto world, and determination of believing in and making serious contributions to that future.

This year has been great for our young project team as we have achieved most of our goals:
Bella Flex Savings V2 launched and keeps gaining momentum;
Ecosystem Fund launched and keeps expanding portfolio;
The Uniswap V3 simulator Tuner is now open source and attracting dev users who in return will contribute to the improvement of Tuner with their feedback and more usage cases;
The approach towards the NFT vertical goes on smoothly with recent partnership with Solv.finance, a highly-promising financial NFT project.
One very recent use case of $BEL is the partnership with the world’s leading cryptocurrency-friendly online travel agency, Travala.com to integrate BEL token on the travel website’s platform. The integration will enable BEL token holders to book over 2.2 million hotels and homes, 600+ airlines, and 40,000+ activities in more than 230 countries.
We are working hard to keep building great tools and products that will empower creators and builders to innovate in the web3.0 space. Next we are starting from Uniswap and Ethereum, and will soon expand to other blockchains and other use cases.

Last but not least, there will be special events for our Turkish community. Every crypto asset can be volatile, sometimes even fiat-backed stablecoins are, too. I have always been telling people DYOR and only invest with the money that you can afford to lose.
Like any asset, the price is predominantly determined by supply and demand, besides “fear and greed” in the market, and BEL is no different.
On the supply side,
⁃ BEL is the reward token for providing liquidity in Bella Protocol. The portion will decrease as time goes by.
⁃ There is a built-in token burn program to buyback and burn BEL at market price. Bella has done 3 rounds of quarterly token burn schemes, with the 4th round coming up very soon.
On the demand side,
⁃ there are many places to earn rewards for $BEL hodlers, including Flex savings, Locker, and Liquidity Mining (all can be found here: bella.fi)
